Damavand South Face
Overview
This trip includes summiting mountain Damavand from its southern route. Usually, the program starts from the small village of Polour and the altitude of 2300 meters. Then, the mountaineers head to Gosfandsara with 4×4 cars. From there, the trekking starts to the Bargah Sevom and the altitude of 4200 meter. The next day, the mountaineers go for acclimatization to around 4600m and then return to camp or shelter. Finally, there is the summiting and return to camp. The southern route of Damavand is the easiest and the most popular way to ascend Damavand.
